Torre Abbey and Living Coasts Wedding – Laura & Andy
We were thrilled when Laura and Andy asked us to photograph their Torre Abbey and Living Coasts wedding. We had met Laura’s mum at a wedding fair where she was exhibiting her gorgeous bouquets for her business Love to be Green. She must know dozens of photographers so we were especially pleased to be chosen! Their wedding day was lovely and relaxed and we could see the guests were having a good time catching up with family and friends.
Their day began at the undercrofts beneath Torre Abbey, which provided an intimate feel for the ceremony. The sun came out just in time for some group photos and couple portraits in the gardens before everyone departed for the reception at Living Coasts. We made a quick stop en route at Meadfoot Beach to capture some quiet moments with Laura and Andy – we love their beach photos and this fitted in perfectly with the beach theme at their reception.
The panoramic views at Living Coasts were enhanced beautifully with tropical flowers, centre-pieces and chair covers from Love to be Green. As guests enjoyed their evening we happily snapped away capturing relaxed, candid moments and all the little details. Everyone was so welcoming and we were made to feel like part of the family!
One of the most touching moments was Laura and Andy’s first dance. Many years ago Laura’s grandparents had met at a dance at the Marine Spa Ballroom, which used to stand on the site that Living Coasts now occupies. As the newlyweds moved around the dance floor, they were literally dancing on the same spot where Laura’s grandfather had asked her grandmother to dance all those years ago! Laura was seen to be wiping a tear from her eye. We are delighted to be sharing a selection of their images with you…
