Torre Abbey Wedding ~ Gail & Matthew
Here’s the second of our May weddings! We met Gail & Matt back in early 2014 and got really excited about their Torre Abbey wedding. They wanted an “apple” theme for their reception, which included the cake and table decorations. We loved their quirky ideas to make their day unique. Another idea was to have a balloon release, to remember family members who they’d sadly lost. On the actual day, the moment was very emotional and looked stunning against the backdrop of beautiful Torre Abbey in Torquay, Devon.
The ceremony itself took place in the undercrofts, the most ancient part of the abbey. The atmosphere is cosy and makes for a very intimate affair. We made full use of the house, including the grand staircases, to capture some stunning photos of our newlyweds. The gardens provided a colourful, romantic backdrop too. After Torre Abbey, we all went on to the Livermead Cliff Hotel for a sunshine filled afternoon, where a band played and guests enjoyed catching up with one another on the terrace.
Some highlights of the day for us include: Gail’s wonderful Dad’s face when he saw her in her stunning dress for the first time; Matt’s face when he saw Gail walk towards him; the lovely speeches; and the wonderful way in which we were looked after. We wish them all the love and luck in the world!
We hope you enjoy this selection of their images. We enjoyed taking them!
