How do we book?

The first step is to get in touch! Send me an email, and we can arrange a chat about your wedding day. I’ll walk you through my relaxed approach to capturing natural, candid moments and answer any questions you have.

If you’ve already decided, I can simply email you a booking form. Once you return it with a £250 deposit, your date is secured ~ it’s that easy! (£100 deposit for the small wedding package.)

Is there a pre-wedding meeting?

Yes! I will always meet you about a month before your wedding to go through timings, location for getting ready etc. I appreciate that you’ll be busy with all the planning so we can chat via Zoom, that’s fine. If I haven’t been to your venue before, I always try to visit here too before the big day.

Do I have to choose one of your packages or can you do a bespoke package?

To keep things simple, I offer 2 packages as a guide – half day (up to 5 hours) or full day (up to 10 hours). However we can ‘meet in the middle’ if you require something more bespoke. Please see the prices page for further information. I also offer a small wedding package for off-peak elopement weddings and smaller ceremonies.

Can we have a second photographer?

I photograph weddings solo to ensure a consistent, natural style and a relaxed experience for you. My approach allows me to blend in seamlessly, capturing all the important moments without feeling intrusive. Rest assured, I have plenty of experience covering weddings of all sizes, and I’ll be there to document every key moment. If you read my reviews, couples say I captured all the little moments of the day. If you’re getting ready close by I can go between bride and groom prep.

What equipment do you use?

I use full-frame Nikon SLR camera bodies, carry a selection of lenses and flashes and always carry spare batteries. The cameras have dual-slot memory cards so each of your images is recorded twice.

Are you insured?

Absolutely! Public Liability Insurance certificates are available on request.

What happens if it’s raining on our wedding day?

I usually visit your venue beforehand if I haven’t shot there before. I’ll scout out a few spots for group and couple photos just in case it rains on the day. I’ve got 5 large white umbrellas that I bring along so that we can go outdoors if you wish to. Umbrellas make for some romantic couple portraits!

What happens if you are poorly?

Firstly, since I started in 2011 I haven’t missed a wedding due to illness or anything else for that matter. I will do everything in my power to be there. If for some reason I really cannot be at your wedding, I know a wonderful network of qualified and experienced photographers throughout Devon who I can call on to cover your day.

We know you’re a documentary style photographer but can we still get some group shots?

Yes you can, but try to limit your total number of shots. Ideally, you want to spend as much time as possible mingling with your guests. That’s when the best candid moments are captured. Click here to read more about how I work on the day.

We can’t wait to see our photos! How long will it take to receive them?

After your wedding day I go into editing mode! Firstly, I back up all of your images onto cloud storage and onto my computer hard drive.  Each image is edited in Adobe Lightroom giving you a mix of colour and black & white photographs. They will be presented to you in a beautiful online gallery for you to download and share with family and friends. My turn around time for getting all your photos to you 3 weeks. The photos are usually waiting for you when you return from honeymoon! If you’d like, I can share some highlights with you in just 48 hours!

Do you do albums?

There are so many options for your to show off your wedding photos that I prefer to leave that to you. I’m not about selling you a £1000 album when you can create one yourselves, just the way you want it. My couples often say that this is the fun bit after all the excitement of the wedding day has faded. It gives you a chance to re-live your day, select your favourite moments and create an album of your choice. There are lots of options online and your online gallery will have links to quality suppliers.
