Wedding Photography at Rockbeare Manor

I’ve had a flurry of enquiries lately for wedding photography at Rockbeare Manor near Exeter. It’s one of the most popular Devon wedding venues and I’m delighted to be one of their recommended wedding photographers. So, I thought I’d put a selection of my photos in one blog post for couples looking for inspiration. I’ve been shooting weddings at Rockbeare Manor since they launched as a Devon wedding venue several years ago. If you’re considering this elegant country house for your venue or have already booked, browse the photos for some ideas.

Rockbeare Manor wedding venue Exeter

Rockbeare Manor is a country manor house near Exeter which provides an elegant setting for your wedding. The Dining Room hosts the ceremony and The Ballroom is transformed for your wedding breakfast. I love walking in to see how it has been decorated for each wedding. Be it gorgeous flower arrangements or elegant décor with mirrors and candles, the room always looks stunning.

Getting ready at Rockbeare Manor

The spacious Drawing Room is a dream for bridal prep. The room gives a stunning backdrop as you have hair and make-up done with your bridesmaids. The Bridal Suite next door is also available for getting dressed and is an ideal place to hang dresses for some detail shots and, of course, to capture lots of dress-pouffing! The games room downstairs in a place for the groomsmen to hang out before the ceremony so I’ll be sure to pop downstairs and get a few photos of the boys too!

Indoor and outdoor ceremony options

Rockbeare has the option for indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies. The dining room is an elegant space with a gorgeous chandelier. You can add you own touches with chair covers, candles or flowers. It’s a lovely room in which to say ‘I do’ surrounded by family and friends. If you’re looking for a Devon wedding venue with indoor and outdoor options then this is definitely worth a look.

Wedding reception at Rockbeare Manor

This part of the day usually begins with a confetti shot set against the manor house. Guests then mingle outside over welcome drinks before taking their seats for the wedding breakfast. Everything runs like clockwork with a dedicated wedding planner on hand. The food is always excellent (they feed the photographer too – always a bonus!). I love capturing the speeches and guests’ reactions. In the evening, I’ll stay for the first dance and some dance-floor action from your guests.

Relaxed wedding photography at Rockbeare Manor

The grounds of Rockbeare Manor provide a romantic backdrop for some relaxed couple shots. We’ll take a stroll and stop at a few spots to get the best photos. The tree-lined driveway is really pretty with the light coming through the trees and the flower garden at the front of the house is perfect in the evening sun. It’s a wedding photographer’s dream!
