Boho Barn Wedding in the Devon Countryside

I’m so excited to share some photography from this stunning wedding at The Corn Barn in Cullompton. The apple trees were out in blossom and there was even a buttercup meadow ~ it was a wedding photographer’s dream! Even an experienced wedding photographer gets excited to visit new places. Rachel and Joe wanted a relaxed approach to their wedding photos and I’m so glad they chose me. They opted for my half day package covering the ceremony up to the speeches (and all the best bits in between, of course). The ceremony took place in the cider orchard under a huge, old tree. They exchanged vows in the sunshine in front of their guests. Some had travelled form Singapore to be there on this special day.

The Corn Barn is a hidden gem not far from the M5 and only about half an hour from Exeter. Dating from the 18th century, the main barn has been converted into a family-run wedding venue alongside a working farm. This gives you some amazing options for your couple photos. During the welcome drinks, Rachel, Joe and I snuck away for about 10 minutes to capture some relaxed couple portraits. The blossom in the orchard only comes out for about 2 weeks so they timed it just right. The rows of apple trees were perfect for strolling through, creating some stunning, natural photos which is just what Rachel and Joe wanted. We couldn’t resist some shots sat amongst the buttercups which complimented Rachel’s boho style perfectly.

The courtyard was the perfect place for the welcome drinks and canapes to be served. Once the barn was all set up for their meal, I made sure I took some photos of all the little details. The couple created a boho vibe using simple greenery on the tables and cute dried flowers on the place settings. The cake continued the floral theme and was covered in pressed flowers. After capturing those all important speech reactions, I left the couple to enjoy the rest of their day.
