Weddings at Cockington Torquay by your local wedding photographer

Cockington in Torquay is the perfect venue for a Devon wedding. Lots of couples are opting for smaller, more intimate weddings during the Covid pandemic and Cockington is a popular choice. I’ve shot lots of weddings here so I thought I’d put together this handy little blog post. There are a few options for you to consider, whether you’re looking for a civil ceremony in Torquay or a church wedding.

Torbay Register Office is situated in the Grade II listed manor house and is ideal for small, intimate weddings with a few family and friends or elopement weddings, where you might want to take your vows and throw a party at a later date.

Cockington Court is run separately and offers further options for your wedding. The Cary Room, also inside the manor house, can seat 55 guests so is perfect for larger ceremonies. They also offer The Hayloft and The Space available to hire and can help with decor, food and drinks packages. They are also launching a brand new barn space for 2021.

For those couples looking for a church wedding in Torquay then Cockington Church, which dates back to Norman times, gives you this option.

Relaxed, natural wedding photographer in Torbay

Nestled in Cockington Country Park, Cockington Court and Cockington Church both give you an amazing setting for your wedding photographs. There’s plenty of space for a few group photos and a variety of backdrops for some relaxed couple portraits. Spring blossom, summer roses or autumn leaves will give a seasonal feel to your photographs.

If you’d like coverage of your ceremony and some natural couple portraits then I’m available for intimate weddings and elopement weddings at an hourly rate. Drop me a line to arrange a chat about your day.
