1. Torre Abbey
Within Torre Abbey you have a choice of rooms for your wedding ceremony including the undercrofts and the chapel. The gardens make a lovely backdrop for photos and a place to host your welcome drinks. I love the Victorian palm house which is always a go-to spot for couple photos, even if it’s raining outside.

2. Spanish Barn
The Spanish Barn is set in the grounds of Torre Abbey and is the perfect venue for a DIY wedding in Torquay. The ancient barn provides a blank canvas for you to create your dream wedding where you can have your ceremony and hold your reception. From the music to the décor you can hire local suppliers for a truly bespoke wedding (top tip: you’ll need to hire portaloos too!).

3. Torbay Register Office
Cockington Court is home to Torbay Register Office and is set in a country park just a mile away from the seafront. They can hold small intimate elopement weddings as well as ceremonies with a larger number of guests. The grounds provide a lovely setting for couple photos with a walled rose garden and open green spaces.

The Grand Hotel is a landmark wedding venue right on Torquay’s seafront. Lauren and her team work really hard to ensure your day runs smoothly. If you’re looking for a budget wedding venue in Torquay then The Grand offers packages to suit and they can take care of the details for you. It’s a stone’s throw from the beach which is ideal for capturing those natural couple portraits.
7. Bickley Mill
Just a few miles from Torquay, this restored mill offers a unique setting for your wedding. It has a cosy atmosphere and it’s well know locally for excellent food. It’s ideal for couples looking for a relaxed wedding venue near Torquay. The whitewashed stone walls provide a pretty blank canvas for your wedding decor and it looks lovely decorated with bunting and fairy lights. Just a few miles away from Torquay, on the other side of the bay, you’ll find Berry Head Hotel. It’s one of the larger wedding venues in Torbay so if you’re having a big wedding then it may be worth considering. It also has accommodation on site for your guests.
