Spanish Barn, Torre Abbey Wedding ~ Rheanne & James
Rheanne & James’s Spanish Barn Torre Abbey wedding, was a day of high energy, continuous laughter and sunshine throughout! These two sure know how to throw a party!
I met Rheanne in the morning to capture a flavour of bridal prep before heading over to the barn.
The pair chose the Spanish Barn as they were expecting over 200 guests for the day and needed the space but also loved the fact they could plan their day how they wanted it to run. They decorated the barn with flowers from their garden and with some extra lighting from Torbay Display, the barn looked stunning.
Rheanne soon arrived looking radiant in her Rossetti Brides wedding dress, still full of giggles and excitement whilst the bridesmaids fussed over her, all looking lovely in their high street bridesmaids dresses. Rheanne was walked down the aisle to meet her groom by her proud as punch mum and step-dad. James & Rheanne had decided they wanted to write their own vows to each other – hilarious and romantic!
Documentary wedding photographer in Torbay
With 200 guests there were lots of candid moments to document. We spent the rest of the afternoon in Torre Abbey gardens, mingling with guests whilst they ate delicious canapés and sipped pimms in the sunshine. I stole James & Rheanne from their guests for 15 mins for some couple shots, followed by a few formal groups on the lawn then we all went into the barn for a delicious summer lunch buffet provided by Torre Abbey Catering.
Heartfelt and hilarious speeches followed the wedding breakfast and instead of the traditional speech made by the best man, with help from James’ friends, Tom & Phil made the most amazing film that was shown on a projector screen for all to enjoy! Many happy tears were shed!
The gorgeous sunshine continued into the evening and of course you couldn’t be in a barn without having a barn dance so the wonderful Dawntreader who are a barndance/folk band with a caller, came along and entertained the crowd who absolutely loved it!
