Torre Abbey Spanish Barn Wedding ~ Viviana & Tom
Welcome to this glorious summer wedding at Torre Abbey and The Spanish Barn in Torquay. Viviana & Tom met when she came over from Texas to study at Cambridge so their summer wedding was a transatlantic affair! Torre Abbey was the perfect, historical venue as the American guests were treated to a quintessential English wedding. The ceremony took place in the chapel followed by Pimm’s and cream tea in the garden. There was even a surprise visit from a Mr Whippy ice-cream van. The guests went on a mystery tour which led them along Torquay sea front and culminated with a ride on the Riviera Wheel, giving everyone the perfect view over the bay.

The gardens of Torre Abbey provided the perfect setting for some natural couple portraits. A gentle stroll around the gardens and through the greenhouse gave me plenty of opportunity to capture the newlyweds just being themselves. The Spanish Barn is one of my favourite places in Torquay for a wedding reception. The twinkly lights and candles make it really cosy. The barn was beautifully decorated for the reception where guests enjoyed their meal and the speeches. The dancing began with the newlyweds’ first dance followed by a traditional father-daughter dance with Viviana and her proud dad. As the couple live abroad, the planning had come down to Tom’s mum who really had thought of everything to make this a perfect day!
