Yurt Camp Devon Wedding ~ Lauren & Nathan
Welcome to this relaxed wedding at the Devon Yurt Camp. Lauren and Nathan live in Nottingham so when they were searching the Internet for a Devon Wedding Photographer I’m so glad they found me! I love shooting weddings that are a little bit different and the Yurt Camp was the perfect setting for this lovely couple and their DIY wedding.
Lauren stayed in a cottage just along the road so I met her here to capture a flavour of the bridal preparations. The girls looked gorgeous (even before they’d put on their bridesmaids’ dresses) in their co-ordinated gowns. There was a lovely, relaxed atmosphere as everyone got ready and we had time for some photos outside before I set off for the venue to meet the boys.
Natural wedding photography in Devon
The Yurt Camp is the perfect backdrop to create natural wedding photography. It looked stunning and the sun shone as Nathan chatted with the registrar and his best man whilst waiting for his bride. The outdoor ceremony was so pretty and a few tears were shed! Afterwards, guests relaxed on hay bales enjoying welcome drinks before the meal. The venue had been decorated by the bride and groom and included lots of home-made touches like the bunting and ribbon backdrop.
Later in the day, we made the short drive to Stover Country Park to capture a few more couple shots by the lake. The first dance was followed by everyone getting up on the dance floor and Lauren and her ‘hens’ particularly enjoyed their hen do theme song by S Club 7 🙂
