Welcome to Jess & Andy’s summer wedding at Dartington Hall in Devon. This lovely pair had thought of every detail to make their wedding a day to remember; from entertainment for the guests to rustic venue styling. Here’s the story of their day…
I met Jess at her parents’ house to capture a flavour of the bridal preparations. As the bubbly flowed, Jess and her bridesmaids were pampered with hair and make-up. The colour scheme for the day was burgundy and the girls looked gorgeous in their dresses.
Over at Dartington Hall the boys were greeting guests and waiting for the girls to arrive. The ceremony room looked so pretty adorned with blossom trees and rustic beams. The ceremony was emotional and Andy’s parents even did a little reading together. Both the bride and groom had a tear in their eye at some point!
Relaxed, natural wedding photography in Devon
Guests mingled in the grounds over welcome drinks before the wedding breakfast in the great hall. Long wooden tables and suspended beams decorated with foliage created a rustic look for this wedding. Even the LOVE letters were in a rustic style. Guests were entertained by a duet, a pianist and a magician. The golden hour gave us the perfect opportunity for some relaxed couple portraits as we took a stroll around the beautiful grounds.
