Torpoint Cornwall Wedding ~ Sian & Bret

I’ve been travelling to Cornwall to photograph weddings for many years now. It’s always a treat to pop over the border and this lovely wedding was no exception. Sian & Bret’s village hall wedding in Cornwall was a chilled out affair. I met the pair on the morning of the wedding at a country house they had rented for the wedding weekend. As they were both getting ready in the same location I was able to capture both bride and groom prep.

It was a short walk to Maryfield Church where the ceremony took place. There were tears and laughter as Sian and Bret exchanged vows. I love getting some reaction shots of the congregation too. Sian’s bridesmaid’s huge smiles were definitely an unmissable moment.

On the way to the reception we stopped off at the couple’s favourite beauty spot – Rame Head – for some relaxed couple shots. The stunning Cornish coastline provided the perfect backdrop and we even got some cool veil shots with the help of the wind.

The village hall at Maker with Rame was transformed into a cute, relaxed venue for the afternoon tea reception. I loved the DIY touches that Sian and Bret had created themselves. It was so lovely and relaxed; guests tucked in to home made cakes, sandwiches and, of course, pasties (we were in Cornwall after all!). Click if you’d like some of my DIY wedding tips!

Into the evening, guests relaxed on the lawn outside. Sian, Bret and I took a stroll into nearby Kingsand for some more couple shots. I loved the quaint Cornish village streets!

Here’s a taster of this country wedding in pictures…
