Somerset Festival Wedding ~ Hannah & Ben
I absolutely loved photographing this summer festival themed tipi wedding in Somerset. Ben proposed to Hannah during Glastonbury so creating a festival vibe on their big day was the obvious choice. They certainly succeeded!
I met the girls at a nearby boutique hotel to capture bridal prep before heading to the church in East Coker. Photography isn’t allowed inside this church during the ceremony but some gorgeous confetti images captured the essence of a country church wedding.
Relaxed wedding photography in Somerset
It’s not every day that the newlyweds arrive on a quad bike to their reception! A fabulous tipi was set up in a nearby field and lots of detailing including bunting, flags, haybales and vintage sofas, gave it a relaxed, festival feel. This laid-back vibe also created the perfect mood for capturing lots of relaxed wedding photos of the guests and the newlyweds. Everyone mingled over welcome drinks and canapes before enjoying a roast dinner provided by a local pub. Hannah and Ben wanted to try to minimise the environmental impact of their wedding so it was important to them to use local suppliers. For more tips on how to have a green wedding check out this Guide to Sustainable, Zero-waste, Ethical Weddings. After the meal, the heartfelt speeches resulted in lots of laughter and a few tears. Everyone continued to enjoy the party vibe into the evening (guests even had festival wrist bands to wear). I hope you enjoy this selection of images of Hannah and Ben’s very special day…
