Dartington Hall Wedding ~ Sarah & Claudius
Claudius and Sarah’s wedding day at Dartington Hall was an explosion of colour and fun! Sarah based the quirky theme on the Japanese manga cartoon ‘Sailor Moon’; the bridesmaids dresses reflected the characters’ rainbow-coloured costumes and Sarah designed her own wedding gown, which was made by Blades Bridal.
I began the day capturing the bridal preparations. Sarah wanted vegan make-up that had not been tested on animals so Totnes was the obvious choice. She had found the perfect place, Aromatika Beauty Rooms, where Ellesha applied her gorgeous make-up. The rest of the morning’s bridal preparations took place back at Dartington Hall.

The garden ceremony was just perfect and the colourful chair sashes added to the rainbow theme. The gorgeous bride just couldn’t stop smiling throughout the vows and when mingling with guests on the lawn. It was a beautiful spring wedding and I was able to capture some lovely, relaxed couple portraits in the grounds. The rest of the day was fun-filled and a good time was had by all! Guests laughed their way through the speeches, enjoyed fabulous cakes from Cut me off a Slice, and even took part in a quiz about the bride and groom! here’s the story of their Dartington Hall wedding…
